Test system on instrumentation engineering technology and qualification for the test

Test System

Based on partial revision of “Construction Industry Act and Regulations Enforcement” of the “Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism seventy second Article” on April 1 2001, there has been some revisions in the system based on the “Construction Business Law Enforcement Regulations Article 17-2” as well.

In order to secure the construction technology of the construction company, the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Minister gets involved in construction work taken by the constructor company, inspects and certify the technologies and skills related to the construction work thought to be done by the construction company. Thus it is possible to qualify the ones who have improved the technologies etc. engaged in the construction work.

Based on this system, The Association of Japan Instrumentation Industry has been authorized as “the implementer of technologies and skills in investigation business” and carries the name for businesses such as technologies and skills inquiries as “Instrumentation engineering technology inspection”.

Test qualification

Past academic history of examinees is not required and only some years of working experiences in the instrumentation and construction work is needed. For more details, please refer to rules of Instrumentation engineering technology test and test qualification based on new rules.

Also, following examinees are exempted from all or partial theoretical test.

  1. Those who had passed the theoretical test are exempted from the theoretical test of the same level for the following two years.
  2. Those who already have certificate for electrical construction or piping management technology can be exempted from some of the subjects. For details, please refer to the section of each of the above test qualification.

Entitlement

Instrumentation engineering technology test is divided into first and second level. Those who passes the first level will be granted as first level instrumentation engineer and for those who passes the second level will be granted as second level instrumentation engineer.

Maintenance of Instrumentation Technology
